VOLUNTEER

Animal Haven has always relied on the dedication of our volunteers and the kindness of our community. We may be small in size at just ten acres, but we are large in impact. With the help of our volunteers, we provide a safe, loving home for rescued goats, pigs, sheep, chickens, geese, and cows.

Every morning at 8:30am, volunteers arrive to clean barns, refresh bedding, haul hay, and feed and water the animals. It’s steady, meaningful work that happens in every season and every kind of weather, and it’s what keeps the sanctuary running. Many volunteers even form a bond with a favorite resident and bring them a little treat.

We welcome local volunteers, visiting groups, students, travelers, and anyone who wants to make a difference. Whether you’re drawn to hands‑on animal care or prefer helping in our onsite Thrift Store, there’s a place for you here.
