Donate Your Shoes, Support Rescued Animals, Protect the Planet, Help Families Worldwide

Animal Haven of Asheville is collecting new and gently worn shoes through June 24 to raise funds for the more than 70 rescued farmed animals who call our sanctuary home. Every pair you donate supports our mission and helps families in developing nations build sustainable small businesses. It’s a win for the animals, a win for the planet, and a win for communities around the world.

Why Your Shoe Donation Matters

Your donated shoes:

  • Give a second life to footwear that might otherwise end up in landfills
  • Support micro‑entrepreneurs in developing nations through our partner Funds2Orgs
  • Help Animal Haven earn funds based on the total weight of shoes collected
  • Directly support the care, feed, and veterinary needs of our rescued pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, and more

As of May 13, we’ve reached 25% of our goal, and with your help, we can cross the finish line by June 24.

How the Shoe Drive Works

We partner with Funds2Orgs, a global micro‑enterprise support organization. Here’s what happens to your shoes:

  1. You donate shoes at one of our drop‑off locations.
  2. Animal Haven receives funds based on the total weight collected.
  3. Funds2Orgs redistributes the shoes to micro‑entrepreneurs in developing nations.
  4. These entrepreneurs sell the shoes locally, supporting their families and strengthening their communities.

Your shoes do triple good: for the animals, the environment, and families around the world.

Upcoming Drop‑Off Event: Brews & Shoes at Ben’s Tune‑up

Sunday, May 17, 4:00–7:00pm, Ben’s Tune‑up (195 Hilliard Ave, Asheville, NC 28801)

Join us for a relaxed afternoon at Ben’s Tune‑up and bring your new or gently worn shoes. All types of footwear are welcome — children’s shoes, sneakers, sandals, boots, dress shoes, and more.

Bring a friend, enjoy a drink, and support the animals with a simple act of kindness.
